Serif Specialty Robotics

Serif Specialty Robotics was a Non-Governmental Organization established as a non-profit corporation in the Oceanic Econo-Political Union Phillipines with a mandate to develop and use one-off robotics solutions for SAR and remediation efforts in the Black Desert and Dneipr Hot Zone. In reality, the corporation was simply a front for operations of the Special Research Force's Combat Experiments Team.

Serif was one of many OEPU corporations assisting in recovery and remediation of the Black Desert region in the years following the Pripyat Disaster, providing SAR and security capabilities to other organizations in the region. This latter security mandate eventually lead to the 2021 Black Desert Conflict, best known for being the first time Lorica-style combat vehicles were used in conflict, and resulting, directly or indirectly, in both the finalization of the Lorica standard and development of the Ursa Ruska.
