Arbitration Joint Fleet

The Arbitration Joint Fleet was the colloquial name for the Combined Allied Military Interdiction Levee as well as the formal name of its principal navel (and later, astrological) unit; in effect, the armed forces of the Western Sphere Hegemony, which was founded by the provisions of the Baghdad Agreement of 2050. The greater Arbitration Joint Fleet was made up of armed levees from the various member-nations of the Western Sphere Hegemony and its successor-organization, the Terran Hegemony, and served in an armed peacekeeping role from its formation until the start of the Martian Conflict, in which it was one of the principal belligerents.

After the Fall of the Martian Soviet, the Arbitration Joint Fleet was suddenly scaled back dramatically in its scope, both in terms of personnel and funding. While it continued to operate into the Solar Era, its new role was much more limited, and it was hard pressed to serve in its function as a sort of near-space coast guard.
