The African Confederate Armed Forces were the military of the African Confederation, established by 2015 in response to the increasing polarization of the global climate, to help safeguard the African Confederation's territories against both the Free Market Bloc and the Eurasian Soviet, at which it was ultimately successful.

Owing to the alliance between the Oceanic Econo-Political Union and the African Confederation, the ACAF became one of the first global militaries to fully and publically adopt the Lorica standard, and the ACAF made up the bulk of all forces fighting under the AATO alliance during the Third World War until they were joined by the Free Market Bloc militaries. ACAF command became the core of the Western Sphere Hegemony's Arbitration Joint Fleet command structure in the years following the war.
